Rudi Rüttger – Wine Tradition in the Family Since 1643

You’ll find us in Neuleiningen, on a plateau of the Haardt Mountains in the Palatinate. Here, our vines thrive just as much as we do, and here we craft distinctive wines. Our goal is to make the most of the excellent conditions that nature provides in our vineyards.

Heritage

In the mid-17th century, Johannes Rüttger, born in 1620 in Luxembourg, came to Neuleiningen. Since then, our family has been deeply rooted in this historic castle and wine village.

With great passion, we cultivate our vineyards here in the local single sites of Feuermännchen, Schlossberg, and Sonnenberg.

From these vineyards emerge characterful, quality-driven wines with a strong sense of origin and expression, carefully crafted and presented with conviction.

Today

Rudolph Rüttger bears primary responsibility for our wines.

Formative experiences at home and abroad, particularly in Austria and New Zealand, have profoundly shaped his perspective on wine.

Today, he combines this knowledge with the deep roots of our family estate in Neuleiningen, crafting wines that reflect the character of our vineyards, our tradition, and his personal touch.

„Our wines, our soils, and our customers are dear to us –
we are winemakers by passion.“
